Kidsworx – the activity programme for kids and teens at Crankworx Innsbruck
Each Crankworx World Tour event is accompanied by Kidsworx, a series of activities for kids and teenagers with a love of mountain biking. This year’s premiere in Innsbruck is no exception. Highlights youngsters can look forward include the School Bike Day, Ride with the Pro and the Kidsworx Innsbruck Pumptrack Challenge.
Crankworx, the biggest mountain bike festival in the world, will touch down in Innsbruck for the first time from 21 to 25 June. That means five days of adrenaline-pumping action where the best of the best will go head-to-head in the disciplines Slopestyle, Downhill, Pumptrack, Dual Speed & Style and Whip-Off at the Bikepark Innsbruck (Mutters, Götzens). Between 22 and 25 June children are invited to take part in Kidsworx Innsbruck, a series of workshops on mountain biking. “We have created this programme together with the local education authority and the MTB Downhill & Freeride Verein Innsbruck. The aim is to bring children and teenagers together and encourage them to be active and enjoy exercise – especially on a bicycle or mountain bike – out in the fresh air,” says Georg Spazier, head of the organising committee at innsbruck-tirol sports GmbH.
